Rejoice!

I am so excited.  Melanie at Only a Breath made me a button for my 2013 word.  Here it is.
What do you think?

I talked about it a little yesterday, but this year I am making it a point to do my gratitude list of at least three things a day.  I have wanted to do this for years...and have never followed through.  I am so excited.  I am going to be using Ann's prompts at A Holy Experience to help keep me going.

Yesterday's prompt was three things heard.  My three things were:

1.  The Baby starting to babble.  I love his mamamas, dadadas and googoo gagas.  He actually says all of those right now.  Oh, and if he sees something he wants to eat he says "ah ah ah ah" and when he gets it he says "mmmmm". So much fun.

2.  Jujube saying "Thank you, you are my good mommy".  He is such an encourager.  And only three years old.  He is definitely the best at telling me when he thinks I am doing a good job.  What a blessing it is to be appreciated by your kids for what you do.

3.  The noise of a bustling house full of happy kids.  My house is noisy.  Almost all the time.  The baby wakes up if it is too quiet.  It is not always happy noise.  But when it is full of happy noise, my heart rejoices in all the energy and joy!  And yesterday we were blessed with happy rejoicing.

So, as for the other things I am focusing on in 2013.  Today is going pretty well.  I woke up a little late, but early enough to get Miss Frogie and Dear Husband off at 7am.  I got my 15 minutes done on WiiFit, and then got my 10 year old daughter (who hasn't approved her nickname yet) off to school.  The baby is playing independently at my feet while I type.  And Jujube just woke up.  So I am
 off for the day.

  1. I am just catching up on your posts for this new year and I LOVE that you're doing this gratitude list, Nataline! I'm beginning a "gifts journal" with some girls from our life group, which is basically the same idea. I've read through some of your lists of gratitude and it's so beautiful to see a heart thankful for the many gifts God's blessed your life with. Thank you for sharing. Miss you!

    1. Now I'm catching up on comments and I'm behind on my gratitude list. But I'll catch up on Saturday. I'm reading 1000 gifts by Ann Voskamp. It may be life changing. I just love her. She blogs at www.aholyexperience.com
